Internet based sources have gained importance and influence in relation to communicating land administration information. It is evident that a growing number of organizations are independently running YouTube channels, where information about Innovative Approaches for land administration information are placed. A variety of online platforms such as websites, scientific publications, twitter, facebook, YouTube videos etc. are used to communicate information about land administration. YouTube, a video-sharing website provides free video streaming and provides an excellent platform for presenting land administration information to a broad audience. It is unclear what contents YouTube videos communicate as so far no attempts have been made to examine what content of Innovative Approaches for Land Administration information is available on YouTube. The objective of this study is to systematically assess and provide an in-depth description of the content of the YouTube videos, in order to determine the focus, intention, source, benefits, limitations and gaps of YouTube videos in communicating information about Innovative Approaches for Land Administration. A classification and content analysis of online videos will characterize the information YouTube videos communicate.
