Sustainable Transport (Elective at Civil Engineering UT, Course module 195420800), offered on quartile 2.
Fieldwork possibilities depending on choice of topic, e.g. Netherlands, India, Colombia, Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia or a students own country
Sustainable transport’s goal is to promote better and healthier ways for individuals and communities to meet their needs while reducing the social and environmental impacts of current mobility practices. Making transport systems sustainable is a societal, rather than strictly technical process that depends upon planning, economics, policy and citizen involvement. This MSc theme welcomes any topic related to sustainable transportation, e.g.: urban design for sustainable and active transportation and healthier communities; integrated urban, regional and intercity land use and (public) transport planning; automobile dependency, equity and inequity; mobility as a service, etc.
The theme of sustainable transport is broad which provides students with the possibility to develop their own topic.
